Good news from the content development front: we continue to confirm speakers, and will do a major site update shortly to share their work, bios and other interesting facts.  These speakers add deep community connections and on-the-ground experience, offering a uniquely Detroit twist to the content.  Here’s a snapshot of a few:

  • Carl Nielbock – C.A.N.A.R.T.
  • Cornelius Harris – Underground Resistance / Alter Ego Management
  • Richard Bennett, Richard Bennett and Associates Design
  • Khalid Hussein El-Hakim – Black History 101 Mobile Museum
  • Hubert Massey – Hubert Massey Murals
  • Sioux Trujillo – Artist, Designer, Creative, Associate Director of community+public art:DETROIT
  • Mikel Bresee – Community Arts Partnerships, College for Creative Studies
  • Oliver Ragsdale – Arts League of Michigan
  • Mame Jackson – ConVidas

We hope to have an exciting announcement shortly about our opening keynote speaker, too.  Keep posted.  And, register.  Tickets appear to be going fast.
