Artist Scholarships for Rust Belt to Artist Belt III? Why yes!

Posted on by roseann

So – let’s talk some more Rust Belt to Artist Belt III, which, by the way, is happening next week. We have assembled a diverse and knowledgeable roster of speakers, panelists and subject matter experts. Now, we are hitting the streets, ensuring we have a diverse, knowledgeable and passionate audience from Detroit, the metro-area and the Midwest. Core to this goal is ensuring that the fine and performing arts community in Detroit, Hamtramck and Highland Park are engaged as members of this audience.

Thanks to the generosity of the Fred A. and Barbara M. Erb Family Foundation, we are able to extend scholarships to 65 fine and performing artists. Scholarships will be awarded based on the following criteria, and will cover full conference registration costs:

> Financial Need;

> Geographic Location (Detroit, Hamtramck, Highland Park); and

> Relationship with a regional arts-related organization.

In the interest of simplicity, we are relying on an honor system and a series of yes/no questions to verify whether an applicant is an artist, and if so, whether she or he meets the aforementioned criteria. Do you or someone you know meet this criteria? If so, drop us a line at info@detroitcreativecorridorcenter.com and we’ll forward you the application.

And, if you don’t meet the criteria, you can still register online: www.rustbelttoartistbelt.com. Register soon, spaces are filling fast. Very fast.
